Reviews & Comments:
Video review - in Cantonese!!!
BGG James Wing:" This should replace Monopoly in every household "
BGG Tim Mead:"A classic game improved greatly by the introduction of the stations, which can offer a lifeline near the end of the game. The tunnels require an extra element of planning when going for routes as you may have to pay up to 3 cards more. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first version of this game and those who haven't played it at all. "
BGG Bob Anderson:"Ticket to Ride USA was excellent. Ticket to Ride Europe is perfect. If people want to play Ticket to Ride, I always suggest this version."
BGG Nick Salony:"Incredibly good game. It's one that I can play with non gamer friends and gamer friends alike and have a great, nail biting game. Perfect blend of intuitive game play and strategy, not to mention very nice production value."
BGG Michal Mijal:" It's light and fun at the same time. The gameplay flows smoothly and quickly. For a family meet - perfect. But for a gamer it's a decent proposal as well. Because the game is so positive and funny... :-) "
BGG Martyn Neads:"A great game with variable challenges at each play, with factors of chance and tactics thrown in. Simple mechanics that make the game easy to pick up, yet it is detailed enough to warrant repeated play."
BGG Christopher Dodge: "My wife's favorite game and one that I also really enjoy. It is very easy to learn and a good game to play while carrying on a conversation. The game has beautiful artwork and is well built. The cards are bigger on this version (bigger than the USA version), which I really like. The kids enjoy it too so it is a great family game. I highly recommend it! "
BGG Gavin Westermeyer:"A game that gamers and nongamers of all ages can equally enjoy as it is very addictive. Great family game. Adds quite a bit more to the original, all for the better. "
BGG Randy Plane:"Our most-played game, along with T2R. Worth every penny. Everyone we have introduced to this game really likes it."
BGG Stuart Motley:"One of my favourites. Simplicity being one of the strongest points and a good board."
BGG Kevin Bourrillion:"This is probably the best Ticket to Ride game. And the outcome is more likely to be skill-based than with regular TTR.
The ferries are cool because the increase the value of locomotive cards, which in turn increases the value of taking face-down draws. This makes your drawing decisions a little more interesting. The tunnels tend to mitigate the advantage of drawing many overlapping tickets, since these overlapping tickets will be likely to pass through the central tunnel-infested regions. However, they also inject a hearty dose of randomness into the game which I don't think is really needed.
The stations are great. The best thing about them is that they allow you to really live on the edge of the knife with your ticket draws, which makes the game more fun.
Having all the tickets be 12 points or under, except for a single long ticket you get at the start of the game, is another change for the better. Regular TTR does suffer from some insanely lucky ticket draws you can make."
