As children play Rat-a-tat Cat, they develop a sense of timing and an understanding of basic, but essential, mathematical concepts. Rat-a-tat Cat requires skill, strategy, and awareness, challenging both young children and adults.
This game stimulates:
BGG Towel Man:"No game collection can go without this masterpiece. It is great fun for any kind of gamers' group: young, old, heavy gamer or beginner. Its simplicity makes it a work of genius. Must have!"
BGG hungryhomer:"Great game for kids as young as 4 years old. Quick games take 5 minutes or less to finish. Great for building memory and developing risk/reward strategies."
BGG Mike King:"Excellent game to play with your kids. Easy for them to understand, but enough strategy to keep you interested. Nicely done."
How To Play: A game of suspense, strategy, and anticipation. Get rid of the high cards (rats) and go for the low cards (cats). Sneak a peek, draw two, or swap cards for an added twist. Low score wins the game. (A poker face helps!)
Reviews & Comments:
BGG Royston Shufflebotham:"Wonderful. Our 5 year old regularly beats Mum & Dad at this, using skill rather than just luck."
BGG John Mundie:"If I could give it more than 10, I would. Oh, the hours of fun my family has enjoyed with this gem."
BGG Tom Madden:"This game took me by surprise. It sounded like a tedious little thing, but when I introduced it to my family they loved it. I like it too. This is one of the tiny number of games that my non-gamer daughter will ask to play. That is something."
BGG KC Humphrey:"Very fun for families with kids 4 and older."
