BGG James Barnes: "Extreme Socken Zocken! That's the game we play! If you are the one to match 5 pairs of socks first...you must wear the clothespin on your ear! This of course speeds up game play, because of the pain! Stealing the wooden character before someone finishes their pairs of socks is also allowed...but usually results in a huddled mass of bodies grabbing for the wooden guy, for the win! A simple kids game upped a notch or two for adults! "

BGG Dea Draper: "This colorful little game is a lot of fun after we made some house rules: It immediately became obvious that if you collected all one color of sock & then matched the toes & cuffs, you could win pretty fast. The rules indicated you could do this because of the rule, "whoever still has socks in their hand...". So with older children we said you can have only 1 unmatched sock at a time in your possession. With younger children, it sped up the game considerably if they could collect socks of one color (or several colors) on the table in front of them, and then match. In fact if you have mixed ages of children playing, allowing the younger children to do this evens the game out a little. The variation of removing a few socks from the game challenges older children--extends the life of the game. As usual with HABA, the components are a pleasure."
